Since 2009 Aquadelferro, the wine bar and restaurant inside Best Western Hotel Santa Caterina in Acireale, is part of the Alliance between cooks and SLOW FOOD, a large network where the cooks make a pact with local producers, committing themselves to enhance their products.
The view
From the inner hall of the Aquadelferro restaurant and pizzeria and from the terraces the view is unparalleled and goes from Taormina to the gulf of Catania, passing through the charming village of Santa Caterina, at the foot of which there is the source of ferrous water that inspired us for the name of the restaurant.

Our pizzas
In our pizzas the leavening is very long: 24/48 hours to ensure that all the maturation processes of the dough produced with stone milled timilia flour are completed, giving the pizza an incredible digestibility. In seasoning our pizzas we use the best quality cheeses, mozzarella and sausages and, whenever possible, certified organic vegetables, guaranteeing you a product of the highest level.
The Menù
Our menu changes with the changing seasons, ranging from meat to fish and focusing on local products, which we cook with passion. Among Sicilian wines and a charming panorama we strive to satisfy all palates with succulent dishes and using the best ingredients among which are many SLOW FOOD presidia like the Black Pig of the Nebrodi, the Pistachio of Bronte, the onions of Giarratana and the famous "Trunzo di Aci".
